Post Surgery Recovery Guide
Everything you need to know to heal properly, reduce swelling, and get the best results from your compression.
Stage 1: Immediate Post-Op (Days 1–14)
During the first stage, your body is swollen, sensitive, and beginning the healing process. Compression should be firm but comfortable, never restricting your breathing or circulation.
ā
• Wear your stage 1 faja consistently as instructed
• Expect swelling, fluid retention, and tenderness
• Focus on comfort, support, and proper fit
• Avoid overly tight garments too early
Stage 2: Compression & Shaping (Weeks 3–6)
As swelling begins to reduce, your body is ready for more structured compression. This stage helps reduce swelling and improve contour.
• Transition into a tighter faja when ready
• Begin using boards and foam more consistently
• Monitor how your garment fits as swelling changes
• Adjust compression gradually, not aggressively
Stage 3: Sculpting & Maintenance (6+ Weeks)
At this stage, your body is more stable, and compression helps refine and maintain your results.
ā
• Wear compression for shaping and support
• Focus on waist definition and contour
• Continue proper garment care and fit checks
• Upgrade garments as your size changes
How to Use Boards & Foam
Proper layering makes a major difference in your results and comfort
• Back board goes directly against the skin
• Foam goes over the board for even pressure
• Ab board sits on top for structure and shaping
• Your faja holds everything in place
ā
Incorrect placement can cause uneven compression and fluid pooling.
Why Proper Fitting Matters
Every body heals differently. Wearing the wrong size or compression level can lead to discomfort, poor results, or delayed healing.
ā
At The Faja Lady, fittings are based on your measurements, swelling level, and stage of recovery to ensure you get the right support at the right time.
ā
Remember, The garment we choose is based on your swelling & comfort at the time of your fitting.
